Why at.Pointe exists
Strategy is rarely the part that gets stuck.
at.Pointe was founded around a fairly common problem: the strategy has been agreed, but the operating model, incentives, systems or accountabilities still belong to the previous business.
The work combines operating judgement, transformation design and implementation, with the same people staying close as the change moves into execution.
Automotive is at.Pointe's core reference industry. We also take selected work beyond automotive where businesses face the same kinds of problems: complex distribution, high asset intensity, fragmented systems or major operating-model change.
Established to connect transformation strategy with operating-model redesign and execution, with automotive as the firm's core reference industry.
Early work included operating support for a two-wheel importer, market research and market-entry design for an automotive workshop-tool business, including how to reach and serve smaller independent workshops.
The delivery model expanded around standing senior partners and an extensive practitioner network spanning OEM and regional management, dealer operations, aftersales, parts, supply chain, DMS and CRM, digital platforms, technology, training and specialist automotive ventures.
Larger mandates connected retail, aftersales, parts, pricing, supply chain, market entry, business cases and implementation planning. The body of work expanded further across EV research and readiness, importer and dealer performance, network development, DMS and integration, launch readiness and operational assessments.
Across founder coaching, consulting and joint or partner delivery, the wider experience behind at.Pointe has now supported 80+ startups and growth businesses. at.Pointe has also made selected venture investments where operating, commercial, market or technology involvement can add value. Portfolio companies remain private.
Focused Mandates created a defined way to access senior execution capacity around one business problem. Venture & Growth is also being developed into a clearer route for startups and growth businesses needing validation, market entry, commercial foundations or operating support, while at.Pointe Research continues to strengthen the evidence and decision-support layer behind the work.

New automotive businesses need more than an idea. They need a commercial and operating system that can carry the business.
This work combines founder and venture experience with automotive operating depth. It is most relevant where the business faces real distribution, market-entry, technology, partnership, asset or scaling complexity.
Customer, value proposition, economics, pricing, demand assumptions, partner requirements and kill criteria.
Roles, governance, processes, systems, financial model, supplier and partner structure and management visibility.
Market entry, enterprise partnerships, distribution, regulated or physical operations and commercial launch.
Decision rights, management structure, KPIs, investor readiness and systems that reduce dependence on the founder.
Automotive and mobility ventures, automotive technology niches and other businesses where at.Pointe's operating experience is structurally relevant. Generic founder coaching remains outside the core at.Pointe proposition.
A standing senior core, extended around the mandate.
Sebastian and a small group of long-term senior partners form the standing core of at.Pointe. Additional independent senior operators and specialist delivery partners are brought in when their experience is directly relevant to the problem.
Sebastian and the standing partners provide continuity across the firm's work, shape mandates and remain close to delivery.
Additional senior operators are selected for direct relevance to the market, function or operating problem.
Software engineering, research, technical work, training or local implementation can be added through qualified partners with role boundaries made explicit.
The model avoids charging every mandate for a permanent consulting pyramid while retaining senior and specialist depth when the work requires it.
The proposed team is made explicit before commitment. Standing partners form the recurring core; engagement-specific independent practitioners are not presented as permanent employees, and their participation is confirmed for the mandate.
Operating principles
The principles that govern
every engagement.
Independent judgement
at.Pointe is independent of any single OEM, investor or technology-provider agenda. Recommendations are shaped by the client's operating and commercial reality.
Senior accountability
Mandates are led by senior practitioners who remain directly involved from diagnosis through delivery and accountable for the quality of the outcome.
Execution before theatre
The output must become a decision, operating model, system, capability or measurable change, not another layer of presentation.
Commercial relevance
Every recommendation must survive the economics, constraints and organisational realities of the business.
